''I love to help couples and families become the best version of themselves at their ceremonies.''
Carolyn the Celebrant at Rites of Way

What I Believe
I believe in ceremonies that are:
🌿 Fun and enjoyable
✨ Creative and a little unusual
💞 Inclusive of your family, guests, and chosen community
🐾 Welcoming to your pets
🌈 Authentic—showing you as you truly are
🌟 Unforgettable and legacy-building
🌳 Rooted in nature and outdoor settings
🫶 Thoughtful of guests’ needs and comfort
🔥 Unique, empowering, and full of meaning
I offer a range of ceremonies including weddings, vow renewals, naming ceremonies, living funerals, pet ceremonies, and Celebrations of Life.
Many of my ceremonies take place outdoors—in gardens, woodlands, and scenic spaces where nature becomes part of the ritual—but I’m always happy to work with your chosen setting, indoors or out.
Meet Your Celebrant
I'm here to ensure that your ceremony is a true reflection of your love and commitment to each other and your loved ones.
I am passionate about working with couples, families and friends to bring their vision to life, and committed to making your day a fun yet truly unforgettable celebration.
I became a celebrant after my mum died in 2023, and I had so many compliments after her funeral, which I organised. I knew it was a now or never moment to take the leap to follow my dreams of designing and leading ceremonies.
My background in health and social care, being a living donor of a kidney to my husband, training, volunteering, performing music, becoming self-published, being a mum to two amazing humans and grandpawrent to Teddy, and continuing my mother’s love of poetry have all led me to this path.
As a celebrant, I am easy to talk to, listen to you, help you find your own answers, develop your confidence and willing to co create for ceremony as much as you wish
Let’s connect and start planning your special day together.

Why
RITES OF WAY?
Ceremonies, to me, are Rites of Way—because they mark the paths we choose, the crossings we honour, and the waypoints that shape our lives. In the UK, rights of way are public paths: free to access, open to all, and deeply rooted in our shared landscape. I see ceremonies the same way—welcoming, inclusive, and grounded in belonging, often taking place outside or inspired by the outdoors
This idea is also inspired by Aboriginal traditions, where sacred paths and songlines trace stories across the land. These rituals remind us that ceremony is not just a moment—it’s a journey. A pause. A turning point. A step forward with intention. Connected to our past and our future.
Whether you're celebrating love, life, or legacy, I help you walk your chosen path with meaning, care, and connection.
